It is weekend. I have some free time so I decided to write a post!
I have gotten into the reading “mode”. I have a book at my office’s table for some light lunchtime reading. It is a productive way of spending my lunch hours when I bring my own food. Yay!
Other than that, I have also completed Surprise Me from Sophie Kinsella. It wasn’t as good as her previous novels. I really love the previous one – My Not So Perfect Life. But Surprise Me isn’t half there. I was abit hesitating because the Kindle version is so expensive. It is USD14! I had to get the kindle version because I don’t have much space for books. So I can only get books that I would really read and re-read.
I have Thinking, Fast and Slow next on my list. It was a book that I have wanting to complete. But somehow, I couldn’t complete. And then, I have The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I feel ineffective recently and need this classic book to reboot me.
Watching less TV series
I am being committed to watch less tv series.. at least for this month. I came to realise that I watched too much of it but then it’s my own life. Why should I let it affected me. I should be doing things that make me happy. But I decided to watch lesser this month to focus on other things like reading!
After hesitating for years, I decided to do something this year. I have signed up for a information talk – mainly to get free discount and consultation lol but I would be booking an appointment and doing the thing if I am able to. I have been reading abit of information here and there. It sounds scary but I guess it is definitely worth it. I am scared, nervous but excited!
Hobonichi Drawer Pouch
I hate Hobonichi. I am always craving for their covers, accessories and now this!
I am obsessed with stationary and organisation. So…
But then, I have not get it as it is too expensive! It is probably high quality and lasting etc. And it could the one. pencil. case. that. I. need. But no.. I just couldn’t justify spending so much on this. Some other pouch from Lihit lab or Kokuyo are way cheaper. Beside that, there isn’t a pattern/colour that I really want. Black is my usual choice but no, it’s just too plain. If I am going to spend like $60 on a pouch, it got to be the one that I really love. I like the picnic design. Its cute, colourful and everything. But I am not sure I am going to go for it as I would be seeing it for a few good years. None of the other patterns appeal to me. And yellow. It’s a colour that I want to like. But I am not sure if it is not going to be my colour. So if they ever come out with a colour that I really loves (e.g. maroon), I will not be buying it.
So I have FN subscription for a year now? It is fun to get new FN every season. Now that the subscription is due soon. I am thinking if I should continue? I really love FN for its simple design and quality paper. But I obviously have too much of it. I am attracted to the fact that they are released on limited edition,
New spending behaviour
I am so happy that I am spending less now. My colleague even told me that she want to learn from me as I am really thrifty. It is not so true in some way. I likes to save up and spend on things that I really need. So whenever I see anything, I would think and consider if I need it. It is the same for online shopping. Yes, I still browse them but I am checking out stuffs less often. I would only get stuffs that I really need. 😀 I am actively writing them in my Hobo or in a googledrive doc that I keep track of. I would spend on things that I really need. Working towards my minimalism goal as usual 😀
I think I am stuck in a roadblock. I done some stuffs over the past 1-2 months. But I am at a loss on what I should be doing next. I am clearing things, not splurging on things that I do not need and sticking to having only one for most stuffs. I bought a couple of books for inspiration. I am so Hermione sometimes. When in doubt, go to the library.
