Flash deals

Flash deals are so fun but fustrating if you do not get the deal! As a crazy online shopper, I have participated in some of the flash deals online. But I managed to get it only once. It was either on the Cyber Monday or Black Friday that I got Lost complete series DVD on amazon. I cannot remember how many there was but I think it was also sold out very quickly! As a avid fan of Lost TV series, I was so happy to get this as it is not available in Singapore.

Recently Singapore’s online shopping site qoo10 started an Time-Sales on latest gadgets from Apple and Samsung. There was like 3 or 4 sets available during each flash deal. There are many people who are rather frustrated that they couldn’t get the deal and started saying that this is a scam and even resort to calling the seller that participated in the deal as a “liar”.

Well, everyone certainly need to Keep Calm and Carry On!

Flash deal or Time Sales are called so as they are usually sold out very fast. In this case, I believe it is indeed sold out within a sec – which means you really need to have a super good internet connection or a very fast finger!

There are so many people participated in these deals. So does it mean everyone would get it? Certainly not! So if you are one of the lucky ones, of course you are very very very lucky. So if you are not one of the lucky ones mean…. it’s a scam? Certainly not too! Furthermore, there are so many people participating in the deal. So the percentage of you getting it is…. 1%? So chill!

Anyway in order to participate in such deals, you should probably prepared!
1) The deal is usually consider as “successful” when you have completed making payment. Try to find out how the payment process is like before the deal actually started. If you can, you should try getting something from there so that you would be familiar with the checkout process. If there is various payment methods available, you should try using them to see which one works best and…. faster!
2) Always tried to save your credit/debit card into your account so that you might not have to key in the details when checking out the deals. Of course, please ensure that you have enough cash in your bank account (if you are using an debit card). You shouldn’t want to receive an error message that your payment cannot be process due to insufficient funds.
3) Always double check before making payment. If there is a deal, it doesn’t you are getting the deal price! The deal could have sold out while you are trying to checkout. Some merchants might not allow cancellation and you will have to pay the full price.
4) Do not hesitate. It would be gone if you hesitated!
